ISSUES THAT FASHION CREATES

3 t-shirts for 15 euros? Yes please. 70 percent sale on beachwear? Let me get on that bikini section. But do you really need the same t-shirt in three colours? Does the 10 days per year you get to spend on a beach justify a drawer full of swimwear? Textile consumption is destroying the world, and FAST FASHION is the one to blame. Fashion—a $2.5 trillion sector—is the second most polluting industry on Earth, right behind oil. The pressure to reduce costs and speed up production time means that environmental corners are cut in the name of profit. Fast Fashion’s negative impact includes the use of cheap, toxic textile dyes – with the fashion industry the second largest polluter of clean water globally after agriculture. The speed at which garments are produced also means that more and more clothes are disposed of by consumers, creating a huge amount of textile waste. Global fashion brands are bigger than ever, with annual revenues in the billions. We live within a culture where the newest pair of jeans and the most sought-after dress must be bought in order to feel a sense of accomplishment and success. Catwalk trends must...

Symmetrical and Asymmetrical balance

Image
BALANCE Here are the five elements that I have used to create my compositions .                         COMPOSITION- 1 This composition is a symmetrical composition . It is vertically balanced as the right and left side of the composition are exactly same .  COMPOSITION- 2 This composition is an asymmetrical composition . It is horizontally balanced . The weight on both the sides is exactly same. On the right top corner , I have added 3 boats by reducing their size which is equivalent to 1 large boat that is added on bottom left corner. The mountains have been placed  above and below. REFERENCES -  vecteezy  Available at : https://www.vecteezy.com/vector-art/447838-scene-with-mountains-at-sunset
